Plantagenet are a group made up of mainly family members who all share an interest in, and love of, Medieval History

We specialise in re-enacting scenes from the Medieval period, be it a battle, tournament or banquet. Our aim is to provide good all round family entertainment bringing the splendour of Medieval history alive for our audiences. We emphasise accuracy in our costumes, our armour and our weapons, utilising and developing the many skills amongst the members of the Society.

In this, Plantagenet aims to show glimpses of life in an encampment or castle.
It covers a range of activities ranging from the routine chores - squires cleaning armour, shields and swords, archers making or mending their bows and arrows, to Ladies of the Court sitting with their needlework.
A range of musical instruments of the period will be displayed and the visitor may well come across our strolling minstrels playing music appropriate to the period.

Not only will the visitor see the adults going about their daily tasks but the life of the children can also be observed. Children can be seen playing as well as being taught discipline and instructed in the skills needed for their later lives.
