Audiece Partication gif

The audience, both adults and children, are encouraged to experience first hand some aspects of Medieval life.

Grapic of Squire training

One of the most popular of these is the Squire Training. In this, youngsters in the audience are invited to join our Sergeant of Arms and learn how to handle medieval weapons. Under the individual and careful supervision of an experienced Man at Arms, they will complete a course designed to test their skills.

During the event, Plantagenet encourage the audience to examine (and even try on) items of armour and to handle, under supervision, the Knights' weapons and the archers' bows.

What can we offer

Our aim is to provide a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable family day out, combining excitement and spectacle with an educational basis which we hope may encourage young and old alike to look deeper into their historical heritage. Plantagenet undertake many engagements throughout the year and can offer Archers, Knights and Squires, Ladies of the Court, Peasants and Village Folk, Jesters, and Wandering Minstrels. Our credits to date include engagements all over the United Kingdom and Europe for such customers as English Heritage, various County Councils (for many years we organised the Battle of Bosworth) and Tourist Boards as well as being involved in a number of television and film appearances.
